BRISTOL, Tenn. – To little surprise, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Brent Crews continued his scorching ARCA Menards Series pace with the General Tire Pole Award Thursday at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Crews turned a lap of 15.076 seconds ( mph) around the .533-mile concrete high banks to earn his third national ARCA pole and fourth total ARCA platform pole of the season.

It’s the fourth national ARCA Menards Series pole of the 17-year-old’s career, but his first at The Last Great Colosseum.

“I want to thank the good Lord above for keeping me safe all season; we’ve had an unfortunate sequence of events these past two weeks across the world and I’m just praying for all the families that have been affected by everything that’s happened. Hopefully, our sport can give people something positive to focus on and lift them up a bit.

“We have a really fast No. 18 JBL/Mobil 1 Toyota Camry and I’m excited to get it rolling for the race,” Crews added. “We've had really fast cars at Dover and Rockingham, and this place is somewhat of a hybrid in between those two. Super happy to be able to get the pole and have a fast package heading into go time.

“Lap cars are going to be tricky … and it’s going to be hard to work around them, because I think it’ll be a bottom-heavy race, but hopefully we can stay out front and get a sword or two when it’s all done.”

Crews is pulling double duty, competing in both the ARCA race for JGR and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race later in the night with TRICON Garage.

Joining Crews on the front row for the Bush’s Beans 200 is ARCA national point leader Brenden ‘Butterbean’ Queen, a five-time season winner in the No. 28 Pinnacle Racing Group Chevrolet.

Queen’s time of xx seconds (xx mph) was xx seconds off Crews’ pole-winning lap.

Rev Racing’s Lanie Buice starts a career-best third, alongside Sigma Performance Services’ Tyler Reif, who enters as the runner-up in the ARCA Menards Series East regional standings.

Thursday’s race at Bristol doubles as both the final combination race of the year between the ARCA East and national ARCA fields and the ARCA East season finale.

Lavar Scott lines up fifth, with 15-year-old Tristan McKee, Jake Finch, and NASCAR Xfinity Series interloper Leland Honeyman Jr. qualifying sixth through eighth, respectively.

Incoming ARCA East point leader Isaac Kitzmiller starts ninth and Patrick Staropoli completes the top 10.

Venturini Motorsports’ Isabella Robusto was the only driver in the 34-car field that failed to turn a qualifying lap and will start at the rear of the field as a result.

Broadcast coverage of Thursday’s Bush’s Beans 200 at Bristol airs at 5:30 p.m. ET, live on FS1 and the FOX Sports App. Audio coverage is available via ARCAracing.com.
